Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus Educational School (CHIJMES) is situated in the downtown of the Singapore. In 1852, the land was being used as a Catholic convent school. CHIJMES was announced as a national monument in 1990. Extensive restoration work has been done to architecture and the former classrooms and halls has been developed into cafes, bars and theme restaurants. The CHIJMES Hall was used for the wedding scene in 2018 blockbuster film, Crazy Rich Asians. Currently, the hall is open for corporate events and weddings.
